Angry Zen Master

The funny thing is, this is pretty close to how my brother and I met Charlie. He made the mistake of asking us to be his roomates at camp one year and woke up with my brother stomping on his chest. Or was it me? I don't remember.

Sorry for the late late update (well, it's not like I have a schedule or anything) but my band, Noisy Zen, had its first show on Saturday so these past few weeks we've been getting ready. It was a lot of fun. I hope to have video of the show uploaded sometime in the near future.

And now, off to battle the evil taxes. BOO!

Just pondering out loud, but I think I might change the way I letter the comic. I'm either going to make the letters bigger which will help make them more readable or I'm going to go ALL CAPS style like the old school comics (actually, like most comics). I kinda got hooked on the regular text thing reading Amazing Spiderman, but there's something kind of classy about the old school lettering. I'll try both ways on the next strip and decide which one I like.

Oh, and now I'm back to doing the lineart in Illustrator. The Ong-Broken comic was done entirely in Photoshop, but the lineart took for freaking ever. Drawing pinstripe thin lines in Photoshop without the vector tool is a ninjitsu that takes time. Too much time. Not that I'm updating regularly, but I'd like to be able to knock out the lineart at least in one night. Illustrator is much better for me in that regard.

As in all things, it's a work in progress.

I think we also threw Charlie's electric fan out the window. Man, let this be a lesson to all. Never room with the brothers Noguchi. Your shit will definitely be in peril!
